Try A Dream Holiday In A Static Caravan

Your static caravan holiday really can be a dream come true!! I know, because my family have both owned and rented static caravans in the last few years. If you live in, or plan to visit, the United Kingdom, then a Static Caravan is the ideal holiday solution for all family sizes.

When considering a caravan holiday one of the most important considerations’ is the location. Whether you plan to tour in Wales, explore Scotland or just want a leisurely break in England, there will be a caravan park somewhere close at hand.

The parks vary enormously, in size and availability of features. You could pick a small park in rural North Wales, or a much larger family oriented park on the English south coast or something in between.

Like the parks, the caravans will differ, too. There are smaller two bedroom models, ideally suited for a couple and perhaps a small child or two, to the much larger 3 bedroom models which usually have supplementary sleeping facilities in the lounge. This allows you to take up to eight people on holiday together. Each park will usually have a selection of sizes of caravan.

It is not only in the size that the caravans differ. Newer caravans are usually double glazed and frequently centrally heated, so even if your break is out of season, you will still be superbly comfortable. In many cases the caravans are better equipped than a lot of people’s homes, having the latest kitchen gadgets and home entertainment systems. On most parks this means that some sort of grading system is in operation, and for any given grade you expect a specific level of equipment and comfort.

There are two main ways of renting a caravan for your holiday.

Most of the large leisure organisations that run Caravan Holiday Parks own a percentage of the vans on the park. This is in effect so that they can ensue that if you book with them, you should get the size and grade of van that you requested when you booked. On the surface, there is no visible difference between a park owned caravan and its equivalent, which is privately owned.. Usually, when you rent through the park owners you would expect to get the use of certain facilities included in the cost of your holiday. You may find for instance that the use of the swimming pool is allowed free between certain times. You would usually get access to the entertainment facilities.

Most often, when you arrive to start your holiday, you may have to queue to get the keys to the caravan, and any physical extras, such as bed linen, or a cot.

Renting a privately owned caravan is usually much more relaxed as you are dealing directly with the caravan owner or occasionally an agent for them, who looks after several caravans at your chosen park. Typically, you would have visited the owner’s website and seen exactly which caravan or caravans he has to offer, and how much he wants for the period for which you wish to rent it. Therefore, you will know exactly which caravan you are going to be staying in, and if the owner’s web site includes details of the layout, you will be familiar with it before you step inside. You may even be re-visiting the same van you stayed in last time you were at the park, as is often the case with people who rent privately
